NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed higher in the Thursday’s session.

Future Consumer(up 9.62%), Nakoda Group(up 6.06%), Jyothy Labs(up 2.34%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 1.76%), Hind.Foods(up 1.32%), Godrej Consumer Products(up 0.86%), Varun Beverages(up 0.85%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(up 0.64%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 0.52%) and DFM Foods(up 0.39%) stood among the top gainers.

TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 3.35%), Britannia Industries(down 3.20%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 2.83%), Nestle India(down 2.68%), Heritage Foods(down 2.15%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.99%), Bajaj Consumer(down 1.68%), Dabur India(down 1.67%), Parag Milk(down 1.56%) and Prataap Snacks(down 1.56%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 5.05 points up at 16682.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 33.2 points at 55702.23.

Tech Mahindra(up 4.17%), Hero MotoCorp(up 3.82%), Infosys(up 3.23%), HCL Technologies(up 2.59%), Wipro(up 1.91%), Tata Steel(up 1.82%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.6%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.24%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.97%) and ITC(up 0.89%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 4.24%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 3.35%), Britannia Industries(down 3.2%), Nestle India(down 2.68%), UltraTech Cement(down 2.55%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 2.53%), Eicher Motors(down 2.0%), Reliance Industries(down 1.96%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.62%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.6%) closed in the red.
