NEW DELHI: One 97 Communications, which operates Paytm, on Friday said its March quarter net loss widened to Rs 761.4 crore compared to Rs 441.8 crore in the same quarter last year.

Revenue from operations came in at Rs 1540.9 crore, up 88.99 per cent against Rs 815.3 crore it recorded in the same quarter year ago.

The company said the main drivers behind revenue growth were the increase in merchant payments processed through MDR bearing instruments (Paytm Wallet, Paytm bank account, cards, etc) and disbursements of loans through partners on the platform.

The company’s average Monthly Transacting Users (MTU), i.e., the number of unique users with at least one successful payments transaction in a month) have grown by 41 per cent YoY to 7.09 crore, it said in a statement.
