The share price of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. gained 1.91 per cent to Rs 1616.85 at 11:16AM (IST) in Monday’s trade. The stock has hit a high of Rs 1621.3 and low of Rs 1585.25 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 1586.55 in the previous session.

The counter has had a total traded volume of 5165 shares so far with a value of Rs 0.83 crore on the NSE. It traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 41.11 and a price-to-book ratio of 36.38.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.

The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 1285.8 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2021, down 5.38 per cent from the previous quarter’s Rs 1358.93 crore and down 3.54 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 1241.81 crore.

Profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 252.33 crore, up 1.6 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
